mention that the ferns are endangered or that the rock is shale oil... :-)
I saw your post, and the thread reacting to the moderators' decisions. I
don't think the moderators are themselves bigots. They just "don't want no
trouble" in "their" sandbox. In their minds, all red-flag issues are
equally troublesome, and anyone who creates controversy is a problem. Like
the "no excuses" teacher, they punish the kid who was bullied, while the
real bully gets off with a reprimand. And then, when
their authority and/or fairness is questioned, *that* becomes the real
issue for them. It ain't fair, but it's how some people operate.
Wise moderators make use of cooling-off periods rather than than banning
people. That doesn't seem to be the case there.
My advice: Go elsewhere. Your interest seems to be part artistic, part
documentary and part consciousness-raising. The latter two don't seem to
fit that forum. Their loss. There are more congenial places.
