Hi crew,
No question they are an interesting bit of a "recording instrument!" In the
hands of a very fine experienced photographer it captures images equal to a
LEICA!
On some occasions' equal to LEICA LOOKING GLASS!
In the hands of a talented skilled eyed photographer ?
YOU CAN'T TELL IPHONE ? OR MULTI THOUSAND DOLLAR CAMERA. Which brings me to
what sorts out all the machines in the world? IT'S THE HUMAN USING THE
CAMERA!!!!!!!!!!!
AN IDIOT CAN USE THE HIGHEST PRICED leica produced! Yet every image is
nothing but a piece of "CRAP!" They may not think it?
The cheapest Iphone in the hands of a smashing great super talented shooter
and every photograph is a breath holder of beauty!
The results are only as good/great / whatever, as the talented person using
the "apparatus!"
Myself I have made one exposure with an iphone just for the hell of it. L
But I absolutely have no interest in "using/playing with one!" WHY?
I only see them as the destroyer of the livelihood of thousands of
"real-photographers" who now are unfortunately wallowing in the depressions
of unemployment. L
OOh I bet the rebuttals will be somewhat ferocious over this.
But just think about a few mass firings? SPORTS ILLUSTRATED REALEASED all
their staff, one if not more of major USA dailies cut their complete photog/
darkroom and even their "photo editor!" Over a 25to 30 crew?
Oh I can hear the rantings! But how about some feelings for the photogs
who've dedicated 25 years dedicating their lives to the newspaper? Now
they're in the bread line trying to get food for their children?
And all because of the iphone??
