Jay,

Western Europeans know more about Iran than you assume 
- The UK and Germany had enormous interests there that 
they are now planning to revive.

Most big industrials and petrochemical concerns were 
there for decades - naturally screwing the "Persians" 
for every penny or Pfennig they could get.
