How to determine if your M9 has the corrosion problem?

 

You could send it to Leica and ask.. Most expensive, longest to get an
answer, but certainly definitive...

You could take a blank picture and look for the noted corrosion on the
image. quickest,  least expensive, least definitive...

 

Is there another way?  Will Leica examine a user made image for the problem
and give a preliminary answer?
