[Leica] El Capitan

I updated only to find that my whole archive of emails going back over 12 years was no longer visible. The support forum came up with an incredibly long winded and difficult way of retrieving them which lost the file layout so I backdated to Yosemite.

It seems to me that the post-cat OSX named free updates are all making computers more Cloud dependant and more like an iPhone. I do not want this but am probably being forced this way eventually.

My preference is to archive and backup data locally so most of what is going on at Apple does not meet my approval. It would have been OK if the roll out of the iCloud had not made such a cod’s-head of my contacts and diary.
OMHO the last few OSX updates have been downgrades :(
