[Leica] Starting to Look Like Christmas

Douglas, we have a festival that runs from November 21 into January, and
thousands of people come each weekend for our lights, to tour the old homes
and to see fireworks.

Regarding the Fleur de lis, Natchitoches is the oldest continuous
settlement in the Louisiana Purchase. The French maintained a fort here
from 1714, two years before they opened New Orleans for business.

A number of our residents have French names and trace lineage to those
French Marines.

This is different from the more famous settlement of French South
Louisiana, the Acadians who came here from Nova Scotia starting about 1755
as the Brits wanted them out.
