[Leica] Taos, NM

We were there in October also - never get tired of it.  There is also 
interesting stuff on the high road from Santa Fe to Taos.  If you get a 
chance, stay at the La Fonda.  That's where the bomb folks from Los 
Alamos went for R&R during WWII.  One nice thing about the Pueblo is 
that photography is OK except on feast days.  I think this year is the 
first time we have been there with no snow.

He was one of many childhood heros of mine, and many a young boy growing up in the 50’s and 60’s.   Our guide was not impressed with Mr. Carson and old a few tales of his own.  My opinion changed.  It just so happened that Kit Carson is buried in Taos.  I visited his grave:
