Thank you so much, Nathan.
I feel fortunate that I lived through an era with so many choices in films
and developers. I learned inspection development so I didn't have to rely
on processing charts - I could use my own film/chem combinations and
process until the negatives looked right under the green light.
And my early tasks at my job helped my techniques. I used to process 20
rolls of B&W reversal film at a time (two rolls back to back on each reel)
in one gallon glass tanks that took ten reels on a spindle, lifting the
whole bunch from tank to tank in total darkness for 35 min.
