Thank you for your comment. People in Beijing had/have songbirds as pets and they take them to meet in parks etc. so they can learn to sing from one another. There is quite a culture of this, and they sit around either in parks or cafes with their birds in bamboo cages trying to outdo each other with the beauty of their songs.
