[Leica] Pradovit 253 IR problem

Good luck George.  I also have the 253 IR, I bought it several years ago when I noticed it in a camera store and it was marked $75.  It looked in mint condition, had the leather case with everything, except for the IR controller.  I also have an old 250 Color unit which is in excellent shape and works really nice.  I have had the cover off of it as I had to replace the lamp.  It is a fairly easy operation, so you should have no problem doing it.

Hi Gene, Thanks for your response. Unless there is a slide buried inside, there were no slides in the carrier when I bought it. I did remove the cover but did not see anything. my next step is to remove the outer casing. I see some screws I hope I can remove.

> George, sounds like there is a slide out of position.  Best to remove the cover and remove the slide.  Can you manually move the slide through its motion when turned off?  If not then there is a slide in there most likely.  Either way removing the cover will give you access to see what is going on.
