George, sounds like there is a slide out of position.  Best to remove the cover and remove the slide.  Can you manually move the slide through its motion when turned off?  If not then there is a slide in there most likely.  Either way removing the cover will give you access to see what is going on.

Hi, I just bought a Pradovit 253 IR.
I am having trouble with the slide claw as it is stuck in the projector. I hear a clicking sound when I press the forward or back buttons on the projector. Something is blocking it internally.
Can anyone help?
