As an organist (as well as Leicanut), I can relate that Ste. Clotilde is
a 'pilgrimage' site for organists, since the composer Cesar Franck was
organist there in the late 19th century. Since then, that position has
been held by notable organist-composers, including Charles Tournemire
and Jean Langlais. There is a statue of Franck at the console in the
park on which Ste. Clotilde fronts. The church is not ancient, being
built in the 19th century. Clotilda (d.545) was the widow of the
Frankish king Clovis.
