That is correct John,
Mothering Sunday is still the big thing here.

I don’t know in which country “mother’s day” originated, but it is not celebrated here (by anybody I know).
Nevertheless I get a feeling of panic when people start talking about “Mother’s day” in case I have forgotten something...
