[Leica] OT: Bird ID and habits - Help needed - for Doug

The head is (I think) the wrong colour for the hawfinch which is a relatively rare bird here in the UK, and one that I have never seen. It is also larger than the bullfinch, which I get in the garden sometimes. Here is a link to the hawfich web page on the RSPB site and you may notice the difference in colouring:
