[Leica] Lightroom 6 speed issue?

I had the same trouble but solved it by turning off the Cloud side of things. I am not a technical person but the problem appeared to be that it wanted to upload everything to the mystical Cloud and that was taking for ever. The only way I found to turn this off was to go right back to reloading it and you get a splash screen that gives you the option to set this facility to On or Off. I set it to off and it is now not a problem, and is faster than LR5.
