For more than forty years, Carmen has been the light of my life.
Until the last moment, her mind thought of new projects, travels, and shared experiences.
But her body lost the battle with the disease, on Saturday at noon.
She was the most wonderful person I've ever met. 
Her light is turned off. My light has been switched off.
