Well done, Kyle, giving it socks. A bit different to the usual "rock stars
with needles" imagery that we expect!

Subject: [Leica] I suddenly have a best selling book

Oddly enough, I find myself the photographer of the #1 best selling knitting
book in America right now. It’s one of those “send a letter back in time to
your 12 year old self because he’ll never believe it” moments but “Geek
Knits”, a collection of nerdy knitting projects modeled by geek celebrities,
written by Joan of Dark, climbed to #1 yesterday, beating out “cats in hats”
and “star wars crochet”. Likely this moment at the top won’t last long but
it’s been an interesting ride.

Here’s a behind the scenes video of one of the photo shoots, Rodney
Anonymous from the punk rock band The Dead Milkmen modeling a pair of
striped socks in a duel.

A duel, like a pistol duel.

The book is here, if you know any knitters, especially ones who like Star
Trek and NPR.

I’ll post some photos from the book over the next few days. I really have
the LUG to thank for a lot of this. Without Brian, and Ted and BD and
others, this probably wouldn’t have happened. Thanks guys.

Kyle
