Interesting Chris, especially as Indiana remained part of the Union. In the
hour you spent talking to the woman, did she say why they, or the bar
owners, were flying the traitors' flag?

Subject: [Leica] Confederate Flags in Fort Wayne

Last week, one of my photos of a man with a giant American flag on his front
porch brought out mention of the Confederate flag in the discussion. I don¹t
see Confederate flags often in Fort Wayne. Yesterday, however, I found TWO,
right across the street from each other.

I was on my way to photograph something else in the neighborhood, when I
spotted this flag behind a house:

I spent an hour or so talking to the woman who owns the house and her
boyfriend. She told me that if I was interested in the Confederate flag, I
should go into the bar across the street, the Hitch-In-Post Tavern. She
walked over with me and introduced me to the manager, and I photographed
their flag.

Interestingly, neither was a plain Confederate flag; both had things written
on them!
