All FW ports are adaptable;, 4 pin is unpowered 400Mb/s, 6 pin is 400Mb/s
and 9 pin 800Mb/s. I have cables/adapters to swap between each ;-)

Thanks, Ken.  I'm going to try hooking it up to the XP computer that I'm not
using for anything else.  None of my other computers have the right kind of
Firewire port either and would also require an adapter.
