One of my first model airplanes was the F-80. I presume this red one is a
T33.
Dad was a mechanic on C-124's in that era, and stationed at SAC bases, so
there were only a few of those lovely little jets around. I think brass
used them to get time in to keep flight status.
The interceptors in those days were all F86, I think.
I'd love to see the Red Knight sometimes.
I think I recall seeing one flying with a MIG 15 at an airshow once, but
maybe they were hanging on strings from my ceiling. ;-)
