Even though I shoot a few of them, I'm certainly no flower expert, but I
think what you have there is a nicely shot example of Spider wort.

AKA  "Cow Slobber,"   named for the gelatinous fluid that comes from
the stem when you cut them.

They grow in abundance in these parts, and I always leave the far back of
my garden untrimmed until they've finished, as I have several hundred back
there.

Mine range from a pretty-in-pink to a deep purple and I've seen them in an
off white shade too.
