[Leica] Possible M8 purchase - HELP!

I have had no problems with my Leica cameras other than; Dropped my M9 (now 5yo) in a padded bag and re-calibrated under warranty, my M(240) went out of calibration and covered under warranty, my Monochrom is nearly 3 years old with no issues and my s/h M8 (with 1/8000th) has worked fine so far. Also my R9/DMR has no issues but is not used much now . There are some issues but I think their percentage gets blown out of proportion as the others keep quiet.... I tried Fuji (X-T1) and it (or its lenses) is not a Leica ;-)

If you want to get into FF Leica then start there, if you are happy with Fuji save some money ;-)

The more I read the down side the more I think of staying with Fuji. I know them there and can just drive to their HQ if I need to!

It got into the body through the shutter release and corroded the top part of the innards. Fortunately I had bought it in the UK and it was still within the 2-year Passport warranty period.
