I have been in battle with Adobe as well. I have CS6 Master (I have found
out for some reason the volume version), CC 2015 photo and stand-alone
Lightroom 6. Up until the latest versions it did what I wanted, CS6 and
CC2015 on my main machines and Lightroom on the others. Latest updates
cannot tell that I have 4x Lightroom licences and I have to split that over
two accounts, not that Adobe can do that as I have to cancel and renew. Then
there satisfaction surveys have not opened in any browser I have tried (both
Mac and PC). Very far from impressed....

I use a Windows 7 machine and Windows Explorer as my browser. I have a copy
of LR4.4 and PS 2014 on my machine, they are not the subscription versions.

I bought a prepaid subscription card for 1 year for the SW. No big deal you
say... Wrong!

I spent an hour trying to figure out why I could not install the SW.. I
called Adobe ( finding a phone number to use took me another half hour, I
finally found it by Googling Tech Support Adobe Person) and reached a more
older than younger tech support man, from his accent, he was Indian. He
goes through my story, and makes a suggestion. use another browser.. I tried
to say NO, but he was pretty insistent. I relented, and while he was on the
phone, I downloaded and installed Mozilla Firefox. Tried again and pretty
amazingly, it worked...

So I asked, why does your installation SW not accept the #1 browser in the
world? His reply still astounds me...

Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not and another browser works. Other
times the other browser does not work.. And he rattled off this reply as if
he had said it 1000 times before..

I have a name I use for problems like this...

Crap Software.

Caveat Emptor.
