[Leica] IMG: Family snapshot

One of the neat things for me regarding age is tell people a moment or two
of happenings at certain ages during my wild and crazy life! :-) Most
people freak out when they hear.

In my thirties a major car crash on a half-mile dirt track while driving a
brand new first time out, "Sprint car!" Flipped it in the air and it came
down off track and across a ditch upside down! Where I dropped out of car
into a ditch! NO SEAT BELT!" :-( oh cut up a bit!. Nothing broken, but a bit
bloody looking! :-)

1/ I did my first solo parachute jump a few days after my 65th birthday!

Jump Master said go! Hell I went and it was a magnificent experience. My
biggest fear after landing was when Irene asked me how I was? SHE DIDN'T
KNOW I WAS GOING TO DO IT!

Until number one son drove her to the airfield! :-) My endorphins were
bubbling wildly and I said. "It was wonderful!" Until she "OFFERED!" "I'm
glad. But let me assure you, that if you ever do it again and even land
safely? I will kill you!" With ice cold expression and beautiful steel blue
eyes! Then smiled! :-) HOWEVER I'VE NEVER DONE IT AGAIN! :-)

On my 76th birthday day I flew in a USA P-51 Mustang WW2 fighter plane
shooting down
imaginary German fighter planes while twisting turning, rolling over and
over in the heat of the imaginary air battle.

I do have the first selfie photo of plane and me completely upside down at
3000 feet over Olympia, Washington. USA! :-) I won the battle! :-)

And the last? What some might consider a foolish bit of effort for my 80th
birthday.

I began January 20th to work up to 80 sit-ups on my 80th birthday day May
27. Began training twice a day and by the last 3 weeks twice every day I
could do 100 sit-ups! A piece of cake! You just make your mind up, kick ass
and do it!

I reached the goal and at a great big birthday party I was on the floor and
knocked off 80 without blinking an eye!

Oh someday I'll put up the fighter plane selfie. :-) Those of you who have
the bio book of me.... "TED GRANT: Sixty years of Legendary
Photojournalism." can find the picture in it!

Cool image, "SKY-GROUND ME AND PLANE!! I SMILE EACH TIME I LOOK AT the photo
AND IT REMINDS ME THAT AT THE COMFORTABLE AGE OF 86 :-) ........... If I
DON'T THINK ABOUT IT? "I can still kick ass if need be!" :-) It's called
the attitudes of life and kick ass when need be!

In other words? "If I'm shooting? Just don't stand in front of me!" Have a
nice day!

cheers,
Dr. ted

Most people never come close to guessing our age ~_o
