The crop factor never existed in the film era, it was just cheaper digital cameras using legacy 35mm film lenses but that has now changed with dedicated lenses for the sensors.

Never did/do I! As I still don't understand what the hell all the "CROP fuss is all about?"

I thought it might be a far more interesting conversation in that, "How did this "High School Dropout" manage to be recognized in the photo world at this point in his life not knowing anything about "THE INFAMOUS CROP FACTOR?" 

It obviously being such an interesting FORMITABLE tidbit to so many of my learned colleagues? :-)
