I haven’t wielded a camera much lately; a little to demoralized. This cancer was discovered in late October. There was a default assumption that it was a rare variety of prostate cancer, rare because my PSA has stayed below 1 ever since 2001, when I had radiation therapy for a few millimeters of cancer cells of what they said was an aggressive variety.

So, the prostate oncologist says: “We can’t treat it until we know what it is." Well, it took from then late October to a couple of weeks ago go get the department called “Interventional Radiology” to do a needle biopsy of my femur. The orthopedic surgeon/oncologist had already ruled that drilling to get a pathology sample was too risky.

The state of knowledge as of today is that I was told they are all confused, because the pathology report says one kind of cell and a blood marker says another kind. The current state of therapy is that starting this Monday I get ten consecutive radiation treatment on weekdays to zap the thing in my femur.
