Well put Gerry. My best friend at University had an accident in 1979 which broke his neck and left him quadriplegic. He was hugely disabled but after a year on a heart/lung machine learned to breath for himself through a permanent tracheotomy it had a flap valve so he could speak. He regained his fantastic sense of humour and he was a brilliant man. He absolutely hated being talked down to and we had lots of fun together over the years, discussing engineering ideas. He designed yacht fittings on a CAD system using a mouth stick. Slow but never daunted. He sadly passed away following breathing difficulties just after a fantastic 60th birthday celebration arranged by his wife and 2 children.I miss him.Frank D

I thought long and hard about posting this image, and finally came to the conclusion that less able-bodied people are a part of our society and that this shows a caring relationship and inclusion in the world.
