Hi Roger,
Thank you very much. I had a good look through the technical page you
included and I find the camera very interesting. I'm going to see if the
local Leica shop has one in stock or can bring one in?
As I said earlier about the DIGILUX 2 I enjoyed "playing with it, even
though it seemed to be a tad slow in carrying out its functions.
But I think the fact you can turn it into a "B&W" camera was great/is great!
It's a fun camera for "happy snapping and not for use on paying projects."
Although I have on occasion used it on client assignment conditions,
generally as a kind of back-up for later comparison to M8? Print results to
picture results.
Thanks again.
cheers,
ted

" Is this camera something like the Leica Digilux 2?"
Hi Ted:
Basically the camera is a small, compact PanaLeica (Leica made by
Panasonic) with a very short Leica branded zoom f1.7-2.8. It has myriad
bells and whistles best described in the link below, which is the Leica's
"sister" camera and is identical in every way except for the built in hand
grip. Leica doesn't even say they "tweaked" the software but admits that
the only difference between the cameras is the "Red Dot".

Ted it was so wonderful to finally meet you in 2013- and not only do I wish
you a happy New Year, but add that it should be one of great joy for you
and most importantly health. You are our mentor and we love you dearly.
Bests: Roger Rubin
