The wider lenses cannot be mounted back to back on these, their elements stick out the back too far. No issue with 50mm or longer or a 50mm and a wide

You can buy a purpose-built back-to-back Leica lens cap device for about $8. Many of them have no septum/solid wall between them, however, so you always need to have two lenses attached so as to not get dust into the back of the one lens. I usually only carry 3 lenses so one is on the camera and two are stashed back-to-back so an open wall between the rear of the lenses is not a big problem. If going to a dusty place the type with a wall will be (obviously) best.
I have glued two rear lens caps together but some glue tends to dry out over time. I once nearly dropped lenses when that old glue disintegrated. I am going to experiment with Gorila Glue on this next attempt (but for Fuji lenses, not Leica ones as I already have two manufactured ones for the Leica lenses.)
