I would appreciate reports from anyone who has actually done this. My mid-2011 13" MacBook Air laptop is needing relatively expensive repairs and my iPad is the original, very first version. I mainly use the laptop for editing photos on trips and am thinking about replacing it with a new iPad Air 2. --Bob
