Second reminder that our Yearbook is open for contributions until December
20.
As of today 17 photographers have provided images. All of those
contributions are complete and verified and the book layout is complete
just waiting for more images to arrive. Every contribution will be
acknowledged on receipt by the editor and confirmation sent by return mail.
Now you can even see your page layout including caption in that mail.
I think that everyone who gets involved will be pleased to see their images
in good company here and in an edition that you will be happy to add to
your collection.
*Submission Instructions:* Images should be sent to Geoff Hopkinson at
hopsternew at icloud.com
That is a dedicated address to assist with organisation here. Contributions
sent to my other addresses have still been included. Contributions may be
sent during the seven weeks *from 2 November to 20 December* *2014*.
Contributors are encouraged to not wait until the last minute.
*Please send two image files, ideally as attachments to one or two email
messages.* Be aware that some email clients may reduce the sizes of images
within messages by default.
Ideal image files are JPEG files around 2000 to 3000 pixels on the long
side with file sizes of 1 to 2 megabytes. The sRGB colour space will be
used when they are reproduced.
In the text of your email, *please provide a single caption for both
images. *This will be your name, and preferably a title for each image. You
may also like to include details of the equipment or similar *short *comment.
Here is an example:
*Firstname Lastname*
Opposite: 'left image title' Leica M3, Elmar 50 f/3.5
Above: 'Cats eating sushi' Fujifilm X-E1 XF 18-55, Ted's house Dec 2014
The FAQ with details on how to contribute images and be part of this group
project is now on-line. Please note the recommended image file sizes of one
to two Megabytes each. Larger files will not result in better printed
images due to the Blurb processes and they make the email and book file
much harder to manage.
