Hi Nathan,
Beautiful pictures indeed! I use a collapsible Summitar and Elmar 35 on my M8, they perform great. Question: how do you manage the M8 magenta issue? As far as I know, there are no adaquate LTM filters available. Thanks for your answer.
JM
I bought a Fotodiox adapter recently for the Minolta lenses I bought in the 70s (50 macro and 24): surprisingly, they are also very sharp and on the whole reliable and sturdy. The only problem I have is to get the focus right since the lenses are SLR lenses. Any clues? Are there adapters that would handle this?

I forgot of course that it was a screw mount lens, so I had to wait a few more days for the Fotodiox LTM-M adapter to arrive from Amazon. It did on Monday, so yesterday I finally had a chance to do some testing. I am happy to report that the lens performs beautifully on the M8. One of the joys of Leica is that you can take two pieces of equipment that are 55 years apart and use them together. So here are three pictures, the first two with the “new” Summicron, and the third with a 90mm Tele-Elmarit from the mid-1970s, another one of my favourite M lenses:
