However using the S/S2 would give you both colour and B&W ;-) They are different beasts, I have never converted any of my S2 shots so cannot say how they look, and would depend on the output. For on-screen JPEGs like we are sharing there may not be much difference, in the originals it could be curious.....

I may give it a go when the weather cleans up (not this w/e).....

Actually, it's 1/2.

With everything else being equal, M-M is equivalent to a 36mp RBG camera. I would suspect that an image from M-M with APO Summicron 50mm would be hardly distinguishable from an S2 image converted into BW, at half the cost and weight.
