Hi Gene,
The image does indeed cover the full size of the S/S2 sensor. I have put up some tests shots with the 180/2 and 280/4 (with and without the 1.4X APO converter). When my 3 cam 280/4 is used with the 1.4x converter, I can focus to and past infinity - so I am a very happy bunny. There is just a small amount of vignetting in the corners, but that doesn’t bother me at all.
