Peter, I also did a side-by-side comparison at the Best Buy here in
Albuquerque.  You made the right choice IMO.  Both units have almost the
same pixel density (326 v 323) but the Mini has a larger screen and more
natural color.  The pixel density of the Mini is even higher than the
standard iPad due to the smaller display, and similar to the output of the
best digital printers.

If you ever decide to get a case, there are bumper cases out there for less
than ten bucks.  So good luck with the new toy!
