Just use hand strength or possibly one of the jar opening aids.  You have
grease that has lost it's volatile and is acting a bit like glue.

Don't use any lubricants other than 99.9% denatured alcohol if you can get
a needle on the helical.  Find a diagram of the lens construction.  On many
old Leica lens you can unscrew the lens elements from the focusing mounts.
