Our education in the US largely ignores the 1914-1918 conflict east of the Rhine. When we were in Vienna and visited a museum that talked about the Austrian losses in the Alps and with Russia that side of the conflict registered. Your images of the fort and teh memorials added a bit to my understanding of that side of the war. So, as always, it is very useful to see your posts.
