Thank you for your comments on the sunflowers and bad lenses.  I have been
accumulating old school high speed lenses specifically to take advantage of
optical aberrations inherent to the older lenses' desire for advertisable
speed at the expense of wide open performance.  I find it very interesting
that the performance of the 50ish f1.2 lenses vary so much between Canon,
Minolta, Nikon, Olympus, and Zeiss.  Different paint brushes for different
looks.
