Richard, depending on the output, look at the Sony 7S series of full frame
cameras. The new ones have sufficient pixels to go over 11X14, look great
at ISO 50,000 and the Tamron 70-180 is ridiculously good, light weight, and
priced way under brands N, C, or S. They are available used in the high
$700 range in LN- condition.

I have found that my Sony's can bring up amazing detail in the 3-4 stop
under range: an example would be a silhouette of a presenter back lit by a
rear projection image. I can bring the presenter up in very good detail.

If determined to stay in the traditional lane then go with a Nikon 800 or
850 as they do much better in low light than the Canon's. You will find
the Nikon's pretty cheap as they are being abandoned in droves for the Z9.
