I owned one in my Nikon F period in the early ?80s. The severe vignetting is nice for teleportraits like yours, less so for a lot else! It?s a good illustration of why we users of catadioptric telescopes for astrophotography have to take ?flats? of a blank cloud cover in order to correct the illumination in post-processing. ?howard > On Feb5, 2022, at 1912, Sonny Carter via LUG <lug at leica-users.org> > wrote: > > Got a Nikkor 500mm Reflex mirror lens for shooting the moon and stuff, and > since it?s kinds cold here turned it on the cats.
