I can see why you would want to have them in one place - but with backups of course :-) - nonetheless I think a selection would serve you, the photos and the subjects better. They are an amazing anthropological collection as well as excellent photos. For research/reference/history the collection as a whole needs to be available, but I can't absorb 500 of that high quality in the way that they deserve to be.
