I see a lot of children playing outside, especially in the neighbourhood where I lived until 3 years ago, where the main thoroughfare is a long park with benches, playgrounds etc., and lined by bars (for the parents :-)). In general, street life here in Alicante is still lively, and one can still photograph it, of course within reason and taking into account people?s sensibilities. Also, each country has its specific circumstances that shape people?s reactions to street photographers. Here in Spain there is a lot of concern about privacy, possibly a result to the decades of dictatorship that ended only in the 1970s. So there is a culture of privacy here, also when it comes to medical records etc. (when I have a blood test, for example, the hospital where I have it will not send the results to my doctor; the only person to whom they will give the results is me, the patient). In other, less safe communities such as the US, there is a higher level of paranoia, but even there there is significant local variation. And Lluis, wonderful image, I am very happy to see the 645 put to good use.
