Thanks to Paul, Mark, Nathan, Daniel and Philippe for saving me a lot of hassle and querying on work quality reputations. The good Irish camera guy who used to be snowballed with work over here, has hung up his tiny screwdrivers forever and closed down. Of the 40 odd people in my camera club, only one uses film, and he's a large format guy. No one seems to know anyone capable here. I'll dig out my Planar which also has a slow shutter, and probably more issues, as I haven't touched it since 2014 when we moved. I'll send them off to one of the EU guys where I can at least avoid customs and better include my Voigtlander Perkeo ll. Of course with Youtube, I could do a CLA in a shade over 5 mins... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znvr7_b_PPg :-) Douglas On 11/03/2021 08:03, Philippe via LUG wrote: > Just in case; this guy 20 km from my home, repairs and maintains cameras. > > I?ve bought from and sold stuff to him. > My latest CLAs, even on digital were done there. > > I DK if he speaks any English, but I could act as a go-between if needed. > > Note that he?s selling SH Rollei stuff, which he logically should be able > to CLA and/or repair. > > https://www.spipphoto.com/index.php/materiel-d-occasion?view=category&id=96 > > > > Amities > > Philippe > > > >> Le 11 mars 2021 ? 02:00, Douglas Barry <imra at iol.ie> a ?crit : >> >> I know there are people with Rolleiflexes on this list, so apologies as I >> commit heresy here. >> >> I have three - a Planar 2.8 (up in the attic so inaccessible just now), a >> T s/n 2,117,7## from July 1959, an Automat s/n 1,251,9xx from Dec '51 to >> Jan '52 - so decided to run run their shutters through the speeds and >> noticed the T seems slow at the higher speeds.
