I was perfectly happy with my 35/1.4 which was one the first lenses I got, but I also bought a 35 Summicron in 2007 after everybody at the Leica seminars raved about it. I was surprised at the difference in color rendition. It's also much lighter than the Summilux and easier to carry - almost invisible. I didn't pay anywhere near what it costs now, though!!
