The Nikon was purchased from Maxmax.com, and the results are spectacular (remember that I am looking at A4 prints, not tiny jpegs online). Covid has probably done me a good deed by making it impossible for me to acquire one, something I was sorely tempted to do otherwise! They do not come cheap!: https://maxmax.com/ The Sony A7 was converted at Monochrome Imaging, and the results are, IMHO, not anywhere as good as the D850, both in tonal gradations, or microcontrast: https://www.monochromeimaging.com This thread on the latter site might help - just remember that the authors are probably talking their book, and factor that in: https://www.monochromeimaging.com/sample-galleries/sony-vs-leica/ Cheers Jayanand On Tue, Dec 29, 2020 at 8:11 AM Richard Man <richard at richardman.photo> wrote: > Just out of idle curiosity, has any Luggers converted their Sony/Nikon/etc. > to monochrome, and (of course) use Leica M glass on it? > > -- > "Some People Drive, We Are Driven" > https://richardman.photo > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information >
