And they breed like rabbits ... Now, as to the real thing - note that Carruades is the second wine, look it up here http://www.winedecider.com/find/fr/chateau+lafite+rothschild+pauillac (Prices are given per bottle, and include the 20 % French VAT) Also note that Pauillac wines like all Bordeaux Class?s are always blends, in this case : Cabernet sauvignon (~70%), merlot (~25%), cabernet franc (~3%), petit verdot (~2%). The proportions vary slightly over the years mainly depending on the weather and the ripeness of the harvest. Enjoy all the same !
