The State Line Road between Kansas City MO. and Kansas City KS., Shawnee, Leawood etc. straddled the line exactly. I know because the liquor laws are very different. If you avoided the excessive taxes on the Kansas side by stopping by the package store conveniently located just in the Missouri side you were fine until you crossed from N. bound to S. Frequently you would soon enjoy the company of a fine pleasant officer. Best bet would be to go down into the Country Club Plaza district and grav an impromptu picnic for quite a few hours. Alternately the Nelson Atkins Art gallery is world class.
