Maybe you can start another photographing black cats at midnight demonstration. The cats you find seem very comfortable with little human traffic. Maybe the vermin population has been more available for predation. I am hoping that the coyotes and foxes will move up the small streams and lower the squirrel population. Oak trees are very common in Central Texas and have been very productive the part few years. The deer population has come down due to a wasting disease similar to mad cow so the squirrels have been reproducing at a very high rate.
