I flew Braniff a lot in the 70's until I switched to Tree Top Airlines as they didn't abuse my luggage like Braniff did. Yes, Tree Top was the nickname for what I believe morphed into Southwest Airlines. But they had great service when I was flying from Texas cities. At one point a plane was taking off every thirty minutes from Houston to Dallas and you basically lined up and boarded. If the first plane didn't have space you waited a few minutes and started boarding the next plane. Much different than today. I remember taking my Dad to the old Kansas City Municipal airport 15 minutes before flight time and he got on for a business trip to Omaha. So many conveniences lost, so many conveniences gained.
