The wren is an iconic bird over here in Ireland, and especially celebrated on St. Stephen's Day which is known as L? an Dreoil?n or the Day of the Wren. Since prehistoric times, people dress up in costume of straw and collect money. Here's the song they sing. The wren, the wren, the king of all birds, St. Stephen's Day was caught in the furze, Although he was little, his honor was great, Jump up me lads and give us a treat.
